The easy-to-use remote control and digital display system give you instant feedback of particle detection, air purifier speed and timer operation. So you don’t have to leave your comfortable spot at your desk, on the sofa or in bed to change the speed setting. Just point and click. Plus you can see when it's time to change the filters on the electronic display.

Electronic particle and gas sensors confirm that the unit is effectively removing allergens, such as pollen, dust, mold spores and pet dander from the air.

Patented HEPASilent™ filter technology removes 99.97% of all airborne contaminants, such as smoke, dust, pollen and volatile organic compounds, that are 0.1 micron or larger in size.

The Blueair 450E Smokestop air purifier offers all the same air purification ability as the standard 450E, but has the addition of an advanced carbon filtration system to remove heavier odours, tobacco smoke,chemical fumes and harmful gases. High CADR ( Clean Air Delivery Rate ) means the 450E Smokestop is ultra efficient in rooms right up to 365 ft² ( 34m² ).

How it works
Air is drawn into the unit via an ultra-quiet fan. Airborne particles pass through an ion chamber and are charged to ensure that they adhere effortlessly to Blueair’s progressive three-stage filter. The Blueair 450E SmokeStop unit is the ideal choice for allergy sufferers and other health-conscious individuals that need high-efficiency particle removal plus gas and odor control. The SmokeStop filter is a progressive carbon filter with a honeycomb-type structure that improves airflow and has hundreds of odour and gas absorbing carbon pellets. The filter contains 2.0 lbs of coconut shell activated carbon impregnated with a 70/30 blend of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) and Potassium Iodide (KI). The carbon eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOC), which are responsible for odours. The SmokeStop filter is recommended for use in rooms where heavy gaseous pollutants such as cigarette and cigar smoke or other VOC's are present.
